N’Golo Kante on the Verge of Premier League Return

After leaving England last year following eight years in the Premier League, many watched N’Golo Kante’s departure with a sense of nostalgia. His return to English football could happen soon, as reports suggest West Ham is interested in signing the French midfielder.

Guardian journalist Will Unwin has broken the news of a potential move for Kante to West Ham in a transfer valued between €23 million and €25 million. Kante’s current club, Al Ittihad, would likely be unhappy with this development, but they could earn a significant sum considering the Frenchman joined as a free agent.

Kante once again showcased his quality at the European Championship in Germany, and the Pro League aims to attract the biggest football stars, among whom Kante certainly belongs. West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is eager to bring Kante to his team, believing he would be an ideal solution in midfield, especially in the defensive aspect where the Hammers struggled significantly at the end of last season.

In 46 appearances for Al Ittihad, Kante has scored four goals. Throughout his career, he has played for Leicester, Chelsea, Boulogne, and Caen. With the Foxes, he sensationally won the Premier League in 2016, while with Chelsea, he lifted the Champions League, Europa League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FA Cup trophies.

West Ham fans are eagerly waiting to see if this transfer will materialize and if Kante will once again play in the Premier League.
