After the Olympic tournament, Serbian player Aleksa Avramovic, who recently left Partizan and signed with Moscow’s CSKA, might face an unexpected twist in his career. Although the deal with the Russian club is confirmed, rumors are growing that Avramovic could end up in the NBA.
According to Cacak’s “Ozonpress,” Avramovic is on the verge of joining one of two NBA teams—Los Angeles Clippers or Atlanta Hawks. A source close to the Avramovic family indicates that negotiations with these teams are advanced and a deal could be finalized soon.
The contract with CSKA Moscow reportedly includes a clause allowing Avramovic to move to the NBA by August 20, which fuels speculation about his potential transfer. If an agreement with one of the NBA teams is finalized, Avramovic could play alongside Bogdan Bogdanovic in Atlanta, with whom he has previously shared the court for Serbia.
Avramovic shone at the Olympics, once again drawing attention as one of the tournament’s top defenders. His manager Misko Raznatovic has hinted on “X” that the talented guard’s career might continue in America.
A final decision on Avramovic’s next destination is expected in the coming days.
