Team analysis: Brighton Albion
Fabian Hürzeler’s start to the season looked promising, and Brighton fans started fantasizing about a return to Europe after just one season away. However, things have quickly turned around, and the Seagulls are currently on a five-match winless streak, including a 3-1 defeat at home to rivals Crystal Palace. Brighton have struggled of late although they had the upper hand against Leicester City and West Ham United but failed to hold on to the lead and only picked up one point in each of those matches.

Coach Thomas Frank has to deal with as many as nine absences, among which are notable footballers such as Kristoffer Ayer, Ethan Pinnock, and Rico Henry. This is a major blow for Brentford, who rely on team chemistry and the quick flow of play rather than individual brilliance. Lately, although the team is still one of the most effective in the league, they have failed to score goals at home in recent games, which has put an additional burden on their overall performance.
Away from home, Brentford just haven’t been able to find their form, and if they continue this form, they could find themselves in mid-table trouble. Although they have managed to get good results at home, their insecurity in the side could present them with new difficulties against a team like Brighton, who are still searching for a way back to form.
