Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic put on an impressive performance, advancing to the third round of the Rome Masters after defeating Frenchman Corentin Moutet 2-0 (6-3, 6-1) in a challenging match.
Djokovic faced some initial challenges as Moutet quickly gained a break advantage. The Frenchman started aggressively, earning three break points. Although Djokovic managed to save one, he eventually lost the opening game. However, the Serbian player swiftly responded in the second set, leveling the score. Yet, Moutet temporarily took control, winning two consecutive games, leading 3-1.
Nevertheless, Djokovic showcased his strength early in the second set, securing a break and setting the tone for the remainder of the match. During one moment in the first game of the second set, the audience witnessed an unusual occurrence when Moutet’s phone rang mid-point, temporarily halting the game and causing laughter among spectators. Djokovic continued his confident performance, clinching the second game, while Moutet managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 with excellent serves.

However, Djokovic soon regained control of the match, winning two consecutive games and sealing the encounter. His next opponent will be Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, who eliminated Germany’s Janik Hanfman in straight sets 2-0.
