According to American journalist Shams Charania, Durant will rejoin the team in London today, where they are preparing for the Olympics. Furthermore, Durant could see action in one of the upcoming friendly games – against South Sudan on Saturday or against Germany on Monday.
In the meantime, Team USA defeated Serbia by 26 points in a friendly game in Abu Dhabi, despite Durant’s absence. His return to the team adds to the high expectations for the U.S. squad at the upcoming Olympics.
