After various speculations, Erik ten Haag’s return to Ajax is possible!
The manager of Manchester United, who previously successfully managed the team of Amsterdam, is now on the radar of his former club. Ten Haag was a key factor in winning three Eredivisie titles, as well as achieving notable results in the Champions League in 2019.
However, this potential return depends on several factors, including a possible sacking from Manchester United. At 54, ten Haag could find more challenges in Amsterdam, given new Ajax owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s plan to reform the club.
In addition to ten Haag, Ajax are considering other candidates for the coaching position, such as former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and Niche coach Francesco Fariole. It now remains to be seen whether ten Haag can once again take the helm at the Johan Cruyff Arena and once again lead Ajax to success in the future.
