Georgian big man Sandro Mamukelashvili will continue his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Mamukelashvili has signed a one-year, $2.2 million contract to return to the Spurs.

Mamukelashvili, who is 25 years old, was selected as the 54th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and made his league debut with the Milwaukee Bucks. After 65 appearances in the regular season, he moved his talents to Texas, where he played for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2022/23 season.

During his time in San Antonio, Mamukelashvili played 19 games, averaging 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. His impressive performances earned him the opportunity to stay and continue working with legendary coach Gregg Popovich.

In the last season, Mamukelashvili played 49 games, averaging 4.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and one assist. It has now been confirmed that he will remain in the NBA with the Spurs for at least another season.

Mamukelashvili’s return to San Antonio represents a significant boost for the team, and Spurs fans will undoubtedly be eagerly anticipating his contributions in the upcoming season.
